Nov. 14 - Qualcomm announced on Nov. 12 that it has launched two connectivity modules, the QCC74xM and QCC730M, which are sampling now and will be available in the first half of 2025 for IoT applications such as smart homes and smart appliances.

The QCC74xM is the first Qualcomm product of its kind to feature a programmable design on the RISC-V architecture. The module has rich multimedia features, supports CAN and Ethernet interfaces, and is compatible with Wi-Fi 6 1T1R 40MHz, IEEE 802.15.4 (note: the underlying layer of Zigbee) for wireless protocols, and is in the process of being certified for Bluetooth 5.3.

QCC74xM module is suitable for smart home centre control panel, gateway, smart lock, IP camera and other applications.


QCC730M is a micro-power dual-band Wi-Fi 4 wireless module with built-in dedicated 60MHz MCU, integrated 640kB SRAM and 1.5MB non-volatile RRAM memory, suitable for IP camera, smart lock, sensor and other applications.
