The fourth-generation Intel ® Xeon ® scalable processors feature a new architecture with higher single-core performance than the previous generation, with up to 60 cores per circuit. Each system supports single, dual, four-way, or eight-way configurations. To match this increase in the number of cores, the platform has also made improvements in memory and input/output (I/O) subsystems. DDR5 memory provides up to 1.5 times more bandwidth and speed than DDR4, with rates up to 4,800 MT/s8. In addition, the platform features 80 PCIe Gen5 channels per path, resulting in a significant increase in I/O compared to the previous platform9. These processors also provide CXL 1.1 connectivity, supporting high network bandwidth and enabling additional accelerators to operate efficiently.

Intel ® Xeon ® Silver processors deliver the necessary performance, improved memory speed, low latency, and low power consumption. They provide the hardware-enhanced performance required for entry-level data center compute, networking, and storage.
