October 30 - Intel aims to ship 100 million AI PCs next year, a 150% year-on-year jump from its 2024 target of 40 million units, according to Korean media outlet The Elec.


According to the report, Jack Huang, director of Intel's sales and marketing group, said at a press conference in South Korea on the 28th that most of the PCs to be shipped next year will use Meteor Lake, which was launched at the end of last year and has already shipped 20 million units this year.


Jack Huang believes that the 100 million unit shipment figure for 2025 includes both types of products, Laptop and Notebook, with the latter accounting for 80-85 per cent of the total. In addition to Meteor Lake, these PCs will also be powered by this year's new Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake-S.


Recently, Intel has officially launched Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake-S, their models are Intel Core Ultra 200V (for laptops) and Intel Core Ultra 200S (for desktops).


Jack Huang noted that the Intel Core Ultra 200V has four times the NPU performance of its predecessor, while the Intel Core Ultra 200S will offer superior gaming performance and power efficiency.
