The MC56F8014VFAER is a member of the 56800E kernel-based Digital Signal Controller (DSC) family. It combines the processing power of a DSP with the capabilities of a microcontroller and a flexible set of peripherals on a single chip, creating a highly cost-effective solution. Due to its low cost, configuration flexibility, and compact program code, the 56F8014 is well suited for many applications.

The device is based on a 56800E core operating at up to 32MHz, has 16KB of flash memory and is available in a QFP-32 package.
