AMD announced the launch of the new AMD EPYC 8004 series of processors, further completing the fourth generation of the AMD EPYC CPU family of workload-optimized processors.
The new EPYC 8004 series processors feature dedicated cpus based on the "Zen 4c" core, enabling hardware providers to create energy-efficient, differentiated platforms that power smart edge applications such as retail, manufacturing and telecommunications and data center applications such as cloud services and storage.
According to AMD, the EPYC 8004 series extends the performance and efficiency leadership of the fourth generation EPYC family to meet not only those markets that desire powerful performance, but also those with high demand for energy efficiency, platform density and quiet operation.
