BLUENRG-345VC Device Description:
It is embedded with ST's advanced 2.4 GHz RF radio IP, combining unrivalled performance and ultra-long battery life. Compliant with the Bluetooth® Low Power SIG Core Specification version 5.2, it supports peer-to-peer connectivity and Bluetooth™ Mesh networking, allowing large-scale device networks to be established in a reliable manner.The BlueNRG-LP is also suitable for 2.4 GHz proprietary wireless communications, supporting ultra-low latency applications.
The BlueNRG-LP has an embedded Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller running at up to 64 MHz and a BlueNRG core co-processor (DMA-based) for timing-critical operation of Bluetooth® Low Power.
Key features supported by the Bluetooth® Low Power 5.2 specification are:
2 Mbps data rate, long range (encoded PHY), extended broadcast, channel selection algorithm #2, GATT caching, hardware support for simultaneous connections, acting as master/slave and multiple roles at the same time, and extended packet length support.
In addition to this, BlueNRG-LP provides enhanced security hardware support that includes the following dedicated hardware features:
True Random Number Generator (RNG), Cryptographic AES, Security Co-Processor up to 128-bit, Public Key Accelerator (PKA), CRC Calculation Unit, 64-bit Unique ID, and Flash memory read/write protection.
You can configure BlueNRG-LP to support standalone or network processor applications. In the first configuration, the BlueNRG-LP acts as a device in the application to manage the application code and the low-power Bluetooth stack.
The BlueNRG-LP is embedded with flexible high-speed memory types:
256 KB of Flash memory, 64 KB of RAM memory, 1 KB of one-time programmable (OTP) memory area, and 7 KB of ROM memory (ST reserved area).
Direct data transfers between memory and peripherals (and memory to memory) are supported by 8 DMA channels, with fully flexible channel mapping for DMAMUX peripherals.
The BlueNRG-LP has an embedded 12-bit ADC that can measure up to eight external and three internal signal sources, including battery monitoring and temperature sensors.
The BlueNRG-LP comes with a low-power RTC and an advanced 16-bit timer.
The BlueNRG-LP comes with standard and advanced communication interfaces:
1x SPI, 2x SPI/I2S, 1x LPUART, 1x USART with support for ISO 7816 (smart card mode), IrDA and Modbus mode, 2x I2C with support for SMBus/PMBus and 1x channel PDM.
The BlueNRG-LP operates over a temperature range of -40 to +105°C and has a supply voltage range of 1.7 V to 3.6 V. A complete set of power-saving modes makes it suitable for low-power application designs.
The BlueNRG-LP incorporates a high efficiency SMPS buck converter and an integrated PDR circuit with a fixed threshold that performs a device reset when VDD drops below 1.65 V.
