MediaTeks iterative platform is progressing well, with the release of the Tiangui 9200 ahead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the first new model slated for late November.

October 22nd - As we head into the fourth quarter, news of Qualcomm and MediaTek's latest flagship mobile platforms is getting more and more popular. According to a blogger today, MediaTek's iteration of the platform is progressing well, with the release of the Tiangui 9200 ahead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the first new model slated for late November.

The blogger also revealed that the new Tiangui 8200 is also tentatively scheduled for the end of the year, much faster than the new Snapdragon 7-series platform with TSMC's N4 process.


According to the information, the Tiangui 9200 is expected to be the next generation of the Tiangui 9000 series, MediaTek's new flagship mobile platform.


More information on the Breguet 9200 is not yet known. Based on past experience, the CPU supercore of the Breguet 9200 is expected to be ARM's latest Cortex-X3 core. In the case of Cortex-X3, for example, the L2 cache has been upgraded to 1MB, the decoder has been increased to 6 instructions per cycle, and the chaotic execution window has been upgraded to 320.


In terms of GPU, the 9200 is expected to use ARM's new Immortalis-G715 flagship GPU, which offers 15% more performance, 15% more power efficiency and 2x more machine learning performance than its predecessor, the Mali-G710.
