The S32K3 family of 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUS) offers Arm® Cortex®-M7 based MCUS that support single-core, dual-core, and lock-step kernel configurations. The S32K3 series is scalable in terms of the number of cores, memory and peripherals, enabling high performance and functional safety, conforming to the ISO26262 standard and achieving the ASIL D safety level.

The S32K3 series offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution, from development to production. The S32K3 MCU features a hardware Safety engine (HSE) with NXP firmware, supports over-the-air Firmware Update (FOTA), and provides ISO26262-compliant real-time drivers (RTDS) for AUTOSAR® and non-AUTOSAR applications at no cost.

The S32K3 series is compatible with the NXP S32 automotive platform, enabling seamless software reuse and flexibility for body, zone control and electrification applications.

The S32K31 MCU is available in a variety of package types, including MAPBGA, LQFP, and HDQFP, providing flexibility in integration and design. In addition, NXP HDQFP packages have been reduced in size by 55% compared to standard QFP packages.
