Oct. 11 - Qorvo, Inc. a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile applications, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, today announced the availability of a Matter-compatible development kit that can be used directly to create smart home Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that comply with the latest version of industry standards. The Qorvo Matter kit has been pre-certified by Matter after successfully passing all tests. With final certification of the standard due in autumn 2022, customers can be confident that they will be able to innovate their products with this development kit that is compliant with the latest version of the Matter standard.

Matter is an important new standard supported by Qorvo, Amazon, Apple, Google and other industry and technology leaders in partnership with the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). Matter security features, including device authentication, are fully integrated into Qorvo's development kits for a seamless out-of-the-box experience.

Qorvo's Matter-compatible development kits for gateways and interconnect devices simplify IoT design by combining advanced hardware and software solutions. They are fully integrated with Qorvo's proprietary ConcurrentConnect Multi Radio technology, which enables the use of Bluetooth Low Power, Matter (Thread) and Zigbee simultaneously.

Qorvo is producing a number of Matter-compatible devices, including the QPG7015M, the world's first transceiver with real-time concurrency, and the QPG6105, a smart home communications controller that delivers outstanding multi-standard performance over a single radio. Qorvo's software solution for Matter is also now available on the company's Github site.
