Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX/OTCQX: IFNNY), a global leader in semiconductors for power systems and the Internet of Things, has introduced the new XENSIV™ TLE49SR Angle sensor family. This series of sensors combines excellent anti-stray field capabilities and high accuracy for electric power steering, vehicle height adjustment and safety-critical automotive chassis system applications.

All products in the XENSIV TLE49SR series can withstand stray magnetic fields up to 8 mT. This series of sensors has A heterogeneous stray magnetic field strength of up to 4000 A/m (equivalent to 5 mT), which is higher than ISO11452-8 IV automotive hybrid and electrification standards, and requires no external shielding.


The inherent accuracy of this series of sensors allows the Angle error to be less than 1°, and it can be further reduced by using lookup tables: multi-point calibration (16 variable points and 32 equidistant points) allows the Angle error to be less than 0.5°. This function helps to compensate for Angle errors caused by mechanical deviations in the manufacturing process.


The range of Angle sensors is developed as an "independent safety element" according to ISO 26262. The ASIL C element level specification enables the system design to meet the ASIL D functional safety level.


availability

The first products of the new XENSIV TLE49SR family of Angle sensors are now available with PWM, SENT or SPC interfaces. The product is packaged in TDSO-8 for surface mounting. For more information, visit www.infineon.com
