Introduction

The MPQ4317 is a frequency-configurable synchronous buck switching converter with integrated up-tube and down-tube power MOSFETs. It uses a current control mode and can provide high efficiency output current (IOUT) of up to 7A with fast loop response.

The wide input voltage (VIN) range from 3.3V to 45V makes it suitable for a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. The 1.7μA off static current makes this device suitable for battery-powered applications. By reducing switching frequency (fSW) under light load conditions to reduce switching and gate drive losses, high conversion efficiency is achieved over a wide load range.

The power Normal Output Indicator (PG) pin of the leak-stage open structure indicates whether the output voltage is within 95% to 105% of the normal range. Frequency folding helps prevent the inductor current (IL) from getting out of control during startup. The over-temperature shutdown protection ensures the stability and reliability of the work. It provides a high duty ratio and low pressure differential mode for cold car start-up.
