Product details

The BQ77216 product family offers a variety of voltage and temperature monitoring capabilities, including over voltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), open circuit (OW) and over heat (OT) protection for lithium-ion battery pack systems. Each battery can be independently monitored for overvoltage, undervoltage and open circuit conditions. By adding an external NTC thermistor, the device can detect overheating.

The BQ77216 device activates an internal delay timer when overvoltage, undervoltage, open circuit, or overheating conditions are detected. When the delay timer expires, the corresponding output is triggered to enter its working state (high or low, depending on the configuration).
