The new CWP3230A series of automotive grade chip inductors from Bourns® is AEC-Q200 compliant and features a compact design with high current, high inductance and high impedance. The high impedance and high current capabilities of this series make it ideal for applications using coaxial cables, where power and video signals need to be transmitted simultaneously. The Bourns® CWP3230A series enables designers to reduce the number of inductors and flake magnetic beads in a circuit, saving space and reducing development costs.

The Bourns® CWP3230A series features a ferrite powder core design and uses two - and three-wire windings to achieve higher saturation and heating current levels in a small size. The series has a sensing range of 2.2 to 47 µH and an operating temperature range of -50 to +150 °C. These features are becoming increasingly popular in various ADAS applications where space savings are needed and lower power consumption goals must be achieved, such as coaxial-cable powered (PoC) in-vehicle camera modules.
