The U-blox JODY-W3 host-based automotive module is a compact module that offers a variety of communication functions using the NXP AW690/88Q9098/88W9098 chipset. u-blox JODY-W3 features include Wi-Fi ®, BLUETOOTH®, and Bluetooth Low power. These modules are ideal for in-vehicle infotainment and telematics applications that require high data rates, such as creating in-vehicle hotspots, implementing Wi-Fi display features such as Apple CarPlay, and streaming video across multiple devices. The modules work in a variety of modes, including Wi-Fi 1x1 and 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (2.4GHz and 5GHz bands) and dual-mode Bluetooth 5.3. These devices are also capable of dual-channel synchronous Wi-Fi operation, supporting the operation of two different Wi-Fi networks in different frequency bands. The modules are also manufactured in accordance with the u-blox certification policy based on the AEC-Q104 and ISO/TS 16949 AEC-Q104 standards through various tests. These devices connect to the host processor via interfaces such as PCIe or SDIO (Wi-Fi) and high-speed UART (Bluetooth).
