MPS Core Source Systems (NASDAQ: MPWR) recently launched its new product, the MPQ6539-AEC1, a gate driver IC specifically designed for three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drivers. It features an input voltage of up to 80V and can drive three half-bridges composed of six N-channel power MOSFETs, making it a vehicle-grade gate driver. The MPQ6539-AEC1 is suitable for automotive body motor control applications such as automotive pumps, electric liftgates, electric sunroofs, and electric seat adjustments.

Additionally, the MPQ6539-AEC1 can drive an automotive-grade gate driver consisting of one H-bridge formed by four N-channel power MOSFETs. By cascading two MPQ6539-AEC1 devices, it can drive an automotive-grade gate driver consisting of three H-bridges formed by twelve N-channel power MOSFETs, meeting the drive requirements for three DC brush motors (BDC).

The MPQ6539-AEC1 features an integrated current sense amplifier, an integrated charge pump supporting 100% duty cycle, and a compact QFN (4mm x 5mm) package design, significantly reducing PCB area and external components, thereby lowering BOM costs.
For automotive brushless DC motor (BLDC) gate driver applications, MPS offers multiple solutions to meet different specification requirements, facilitating the transition from automotive 12V system battery power to automotive 48V systems.
