The ADS1118IDGSR is a precision, low-power, 16-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) with a maximum data conversion rate of 860 samples per second (SPS). The PGA has an input range of ±256 mV to ±6.144 V, enabling high-resolution measurement of both large and small signals.

The ADS1118IDGSR integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), voltage reference, oscillator, and high-precision temperature sensor. These features, combined with a wide power supply voltage range of 2V to 5.5V, make the ADS1118IDGSR ideal for power-constrained and space-constrained sensor measurement applications.


The ADS1118IDGSR can operate in either continuous conversion mode or single-shot mode. In single-shot mode, the device automatically powers down after completing a single conversion. In idle state, single-shot mode significantly reduces power consumption. All data is transmitted via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI™). The ADS1118IDGSR is rated for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

Resolution: 16-bit, providing up to 65,536 output codes for high-precision conversion.

Sampling rate: Up to 860 samples per second (SPS), configurable to low-speed mode to further reduce power consumption.

Power consumption: Current as low as 150μA in operating mode and as low as 0.5μA in standby mode, significantly extending battery life.  

Input range: Adjustable via PGA, ranging from ±256mV to ±6.144V, accommodating various sensor signals.  

Interface: SPI-compatible interface supporting high-speed data transmission (clock frequency up to 3.4MHz).

Package: WSON-10 (IDGSR), operating temperature range -40°C to +125°C, meeting industrial-grade requirements.
