The MPL460AT-I/4LB is designed to be driven by external Microchip host devices, thereby providing greater flexibility on the host side. The Microchip host device can load the appropriate PLC protocol firmware in the PL460 (before the modem runs) and control the MPL460AT-I/4LB modem.
