Overview

The AD5726YRSZ-1500 is a four-channel, 12-bit, serial input, voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) manufactured using iCMOS® process technology, ensuring monotonicity with a maximum integrated nonlinearity (INL) error of ±1 LSB.


The output voltage swing is set by two reference voltage inputs, VREFP and VREFN. When the VREFN input is set to 0 V and the VREFP input is set to positive voltage, the AD5726YRSZ-1500 can provide a unipolar positive output range. When a similar configuration is adopted, that is, when VREFP is 0 V and the VREFP input is set to 0 V and the VREFP input is set to positive voltage, the AD5726YRSZ-1500 can provide a unipolar positive output range. With a similar configuration, that is, when VREFP is 0 V and VREFN is negative voltage, the AD5726YRSZ-1500 can provide a unipolar negative output range.


The bipolar output is configured by connecting both VREFP and VREFN to a non-zero voltage. This method of setting the output voltage range does not rely on internal and external resistors with different temperature coefficients, and thus is superior to the bipolar offset method.


The AD5726YRSZ-1500 adopts a serial interface, capable of operating at a maximum clock rate of 30 MHz, and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller interface standards. By using the asynchronous CLR function, the AD5726YRSZ-1500 can reset all DAC registers to the zero level or intermediate level output that the user can select.


The AD5726YRSZ-1500 adopts a 20-pin SSOP package. It can operate with various power supplies and reference voltages, with a single power supply voltage range of + 5V to ± 15V and a reference voltage range of + 2.5V to ± 10V. When powered by ± 15V, the power consumption is less than 240 mW. When powered by a + 5V supply, the power consumption is only 30mW. The operating temperature range of this device is from -40 °C to +125°C.
