Overview

The F1763NBGI8 is a single-channel mixer designed to be powered by a single 5V supply. It is optimized for the use of low-side or high-side LO in multi-mode, multi-carrier base station receivers operating in the 2000MHz - 2900MHz frequency band. The F1763NBGI8 supports IF frequencies ranging from 50MHz to 500MHz. The nominal value of this device provides 42 dBm output IP3 and 200mA ICC.


Competitive advantage

In a typical base station receiver, the RF to IF mixer dominates the linearity performance of the entire receiving system. The Zero-DistortionTM series of mixing consoles significantly enhance the maximum signal level (IM3 pitch) that BTS can withstand at the required signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Zero-DistortionTM technology can achieve any kind of advantage. In base station transmitters, digital predistortion (DPD) is adopted to enhance the performance of the transmitter. By using a superlinear mixer in the DPD RX path (such as IDTF1763), the ACLR and/or power consumption of the entire Tx system can be significantly improved. This is because the F1763NBGI8 can directly drive the ADC through the Anti-Alias filter. Downstream amplification is not required in DPD applications.
