Bourns® PCP300-T414250S current transformers feature high permeability and low energy loss, providing excellent high-frequency current detection for power systems.

16 June 2025 - Bourns, a globally renowned leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, has launched its new PCP300-T414250S current transformer series. This new product is made from high-efficiency permalloy material, effectively reducing thermal energy loss and energy consumption. This technology also enables fast power conversion and high precision, making the transformer ideal for power quality analysis.

The new Bourns® PCP300-T414250S current transformer features high magnetic permeability and low energy loss, providing excellent high-frequency current sensing capabilities for power systems. Its advanced design supports a wide range of rated current measurements, including high-frequency current sensing in meters and motor load monitoring applications. This model can handle a maximum primary continuous current of 300 A and has a voltage withstand strength of up to 3.5 kV, helping to ensure the safety of equipment and personnel. Additionally, its protective coil housing design is suitable for applications in various harsh environments. Bourns designed this new current transformer series to help users achieve faster, more stable, and safer power monitoring and management.

The Bourns® PCP300-T414250S current transformer is now available, with the entire series compliant with RoHS* standards and halogen-free**. It can be ordered through Bourns' authorised distributor partners.

**Bourns products meet the ‘halogen-free’ requirement provided that (a) bromine content is less than or equal to 900 ppm, (b) chlorine content is less than or equal to 900 ppm, and (c) the total bromine and chlorine content is less than or equal to 1500 ppm.
