Overview
The LTC2500IDKD-32 is a low-noise, low-power, high-performance 32-bit ADC with an integrated configurable digital filter. This device operates with a single 2.5V power supply and features a fully differential input range up to ±VREF, with the variation range of VREF ranging from 2.5V to 5.1V. The LTC2500IDKD-32 supports a wide common-mode range from 0V to VREF, thereby simplifying the requirements for analog signal conditioning.
The LTC2500IDKD-32 provides two output codes simultaneously, including a 32-bit digital filtering high-precision and low-noise code and a 32-bit delay-free composite code. The configurable digital filter reduces measurement noise by implementing low-pass filtering and frequency-reduced sampling on the data stream from the SAR ADC core, thus generating a 32-bit filtered output code. The 32-bit compound code consists of an out-of-range detection bit, a 24-bit code representing the differential input voltage, and a 7-bit code representing the common-mode input voltage. Each conversion cycle provides 32-bit composite code, thereby eliminating the delay cycle.
Digital filters are highly configurable (via SPI-compatible interfaces) and have many unique filter types suitable for a wide range of applications. Digital low-pass filters relax the requirements for analog anti-aliasing. The synchronization of multiple LTC2500-32 devices can be easily achieved by using the SYNC pin.
