Explanation
The LTM4691EY µModule® regulator is a complete 2A, dual-output, switch-mode DC-DC power supply with a micro BGA package. The package includes the switch controller, power FET, inductor and all supporting components. The working input voltage range of LTM4691EY is 2.25V to 3.6V, supporting two output channels. It features a programmable output voltage range of 0.5V to 2.5V and can be set via an external resistor. The high-efficiency design can provide a continuous current of up to 2A for each output. Only large-capacity input and output capacitors are required.
The LTM4691EY can operate in forced continuous mode to achieve low noise and pulse jump or burst mode, thereby achieving high efficiency under light load. The typical step-down switch frequency is 2MHz and can be synchronized within the range of 1MHz to 3MHz. Its high switching frequency and current mode architecture can make very fast transient responses to line/load changes without sacrificing stability.
Other features include precise operating threshold, PGOOD signal, output overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection. LTM4691EY is a lead-free product that complies with the RoHS standard.
