May 14 - NVIDIA announced yesterday that it has established a partnership with Saudi Arabia to participate deeply in the construction of the country's sovereign digital technology facilities and training of technical talents, and to promote Saudi Arabia to become a member of the global AI leaders.

HUMAIN, the AI subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF, plans to deploy a 500MW-scale AI factory over the next five years, and will purchase hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA's state-of-the-art AI GPUs. The first phase will be to build an AI supercomputer with NVIDIA's InfiniBand interconnect containing 18,000 GB300 supercomputers.

HUMAIN will also deploy Saudi Arabia's first NVIDIA Omniverse Cloud to simulate and test physical AI solutions using digital twins.

NVIDIA will also strengthen the Saudi computing ecosystem by training thousands of developers in skills to solve complex challenges using accelerated computing and AI.

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority will deploy up to 5,000 Blackwell GPUs in its sovereign AI factory and enable smart city solutions. The government agency will join forces with NVIDIA to train government and university scientists and engineers on how to develop and deploy physical and intelligent body AI models.

Aramco Digital, the digital and technology subsidiary of energy giant Saudi Aramco, will also develop AI computing infrastructure and work with NVIDIA's startup ecosystem to build an AI enterprise platform and create a centre of excellence for engineering and robotics that includes NVIDIA's platforms.

NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said, AI, like electricity and the internet, is essential infrastructure for every country. Together with HUMAIN, we are building AI infrastructure for the people and businesses of Saudi Arabia to realise the Kingdom's ambitious vision.
