May 10, Rockchip today announced the launch of a new generation of AI vision chip RV1126B; the chip has passed the mass production test, this month to open the batch supply.
Rockchip RV1126B chip is equipped with a 4-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU and Ruixin Micro's self-developed 3TOPS NPU, supporting weight sparsification, W4A16/W8A16 mixed precision quantisation and Transformer optimisation technology.
According to Rockchip, the RV1126B's CPU performance is ‘more than twice as high as that of other chips in the same class’, while the NPU part can smoothly run parameter scale models up to 2B, and brings powerful image semantic understanding capabilities to support accurate recognition of complex scenes and cross-modal information fusion.
In addition, the RV1126B also integrates dedicated AI-ISP hardware, which does not consume NPU resources during operation, giving it an advantage over traditional solutions in terms of bandwidth and power consumption, and combining it with AI Remosaic technology to achieve ultra-high-definition image quality in the daytime, as well as clear imaging with bottomless brightness at night.
Rockchip's new AOV3.0 technology on the RV1126B incorporates a low-power audio event wake-up function, which enables 7/24 real-time monitoring of abnormal sound sources, while the device's standby power consumption is as low as about 1mW.
The RV1126B also features 8M pixel 45FPS UHD encoding, hardware-level 6-DOF digital stabilisation, multi-camera AI dynamic splicing, and a built-in state-of-the-art security solution.
