Description: The VSC7512 Industrial IoT Ethernet Switch contains four integrated 10/100/1000BASE-T PHYs, two 1G SGMII/SerDes, two 1G/2.5G SGMII/SerDes, and either a 1G/2.5G SGMII/SerDes Node Processor Interface (NPI) option or a PCIe interface for external CPU connection. The NPI/PCIe operates as a standard Ethernet port. The device offers a rich set of industrial Ethernet switching features such as Fast Protection Switching, 1588 Precision Time Protocol, and Synchronous Ethernet. Advanced TCAM-based VLAN and QoS processing provides differentiated services. Security is ensured through frame processing using Microsemi's versatile TCAM-based content-aware processor.

In addition, the device includes an 8051 CPU for simple operation of the switch. The device supports the following major port configurations.
