88E1112-C2-NNC1C000 Device Overview:

The Alaska 88E1112 devices support Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface (SGMII) for direct connection to MAC/Switch ports.The 88E1112 device integrates an additional 1.25 GHz SERDES (Serialiser/Deserialiser) for direct connection to fibre optic transceivers for 1000BASE-X applications.The SERDES is switchable The SERDES can be switched to support 125 MHz operation for 100BASEFX applications. In addition, the 88E1112 can be used to implement a 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) or Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) module.

The 88E1112 device uses advanced mixed-signal processing to perform equalisation, echo and crosstalk cancellation, data recovery, and error correction at data rates of up to a gigabit per second. The device delivers consistent performance in noisy environments with very low power consumption.
