Overview:

The TPSM63610RDFR Synchronous Step Down DC/DC Power module is a highly integrated 36V, 8A DC/DC solution that integrates multiple power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and multiple passive devices in an enhanced HotRod™ QFN package. The device features VIN and VOUT pins at package corners to optimize the placement of input and output capacitors. In addition, four large cooling pads under the module allow for simple layout and ease of operation during manufacturing.


The TPSM63610 module has an output voltage of 1V to 20V and is designed to quickly and easily achieve low EMI designs for small size PCBS. The overall solution requires only four external components and eliminates the need for magnetic and compensation component selection in the design process.


The TPSM63610 module offers a number of features for robust performance: a precision enable terminal with hysteresis enables input voltage UVLO regulation, resistance-programmable switching node flutter rate and spread frequency options for improved EMI. Used with integrated VCC, bootstrap and input capacitors for increased reliability and density. The module can be configured to maintain a constant switching frequency within the full load current range (FPWM) or a variable frequency (PFM) for light load efficiency. It includes a PGOOD indicator for timing control, fault reporting and output voltage monitoring.
