The MAX14866UTM device is a 16-channel, high-voltage (HV) analog SPST switch designed primarily for high-voltage multiplexing in ultrasonic applications. The MAX14866UTM is powered by a single low voltage supply (+5V), eliminating the need for a dedicated high voltage supply, saving costs and simplifying the system. In addition, for in-probe applications, the high voltage power supply does not need to be associated with the MAX14866UTM in the probe/transducer probe, thereby improving safety and simplifying safety regulatory compliance.
The MAX14866UTM performs well in several areas, including bandwidth (up to 50MHz), charge injection (<100pC) and linear transmit input range (up to 210VPKPK). The low-signal switch RDSON is typically about 7Ω above and below 0V and remains flat over the entire input range, ensuring excellent linearity.
The MAX14866UTM comes in a TQFN package, which is the industry standard 48-pin, 7mm x 7mm package.
Key characteristics
1, high voltage and wide voltage support
The MAX14866UTM supports single power supply (1.7V~5.5V), and can process 210V peak-peak linear signals without additional high voltage power supply, simplifying system power design .
The MAX14866UTM integrates a 16-channel SPST switch with a typical on-resistance of 7Ω (maximum 13Ω) and a matching error of 0.21Ω to ensure consistent signal transmission .
2. High frequency performance and low interference
MAX14866UTM bandwidth up to 500MHz (best in its class), -3dB bandwidth 50MHz, suitable for ultrasonic probe and other high frequency signal routing .
Charge injection <100pC, crosstalk suppression up to -65dB@5MHz, reduce the signal distortion during switching .
3. Reliability design
Operating temperature range 0°C to 85°C, MAX14866UTM in 48-pin TQFP package (5.6x5.6mm), surface mount compatible with high density PCB layout .
The switching time is 4µs (on/off), the static leakage current is less than or equal to 1µA, and the MAX14866UTM can be optimized for low-power scenarios .
