Shenzhen Mingjiada Electronics launched a new ADI HMC6301BG46P7 millimeter wave receiver, 57 ghz-64 GHz (RF receiver).


Introduction

The HMC6301BG46P7 is a complete millimeter wave receiver integrated circuit in a ROHS-compliant 6 mm × 4 mm wafer-level Ball Grid Array (WLBGA) package. Includes low noise amplifiers (Lnas), image suppression filters, RF to IF downconverters, IF filters, I/Q downconverters, and frequency synthesizers. The HMC6301BG46P7 receiver operates in a frequency range of 57 GHz to 64 GHz with a bilateral modulation bandwidth of up to 1.8 GHz.


The integrated frequency synthesizer, tuned at 250 MHz, 500 MHz or 540 MHz steps, has excellent phase noise and supports modulation up to 64 QAM. Alternatively, external LO can be injected, and the HMC6301BG46P7 supports user-selectable LO characteristics or phase-coherent transmit and receive operations and modulation up to 256 QAM. The HMC6301BG46P7 provides support for various modulation formats through a universal analog baseband I/Q interface.


The HMC6301BG46P7 also has built-in AM and FM detectors for demodulation of on-key control (OOK), frequency shift keying (FSK) or minimum Frequency Keying (MSK) modulation formats, enabling lower cost and power consumption serial data links without the need for high-speed data converters.
