Product Description:

The MLX91208LDC-CAL-000-TU is a single-chip sensor IC with iMchall technology. Conventional planar Hall techniques are only sensitive to the magnetic flux density applied perpendicular to the IC surface. The IMC-Hall current sensor is sensitive to the magnetic flux density applied parallel to the IC surface. This is achieved by an integrated magnetic concentrator (IMC-Hall) deposited on the CMOS tube core (as an additional back-end step). IMC-Hall technology meets automotive industry standards.

The product is a single-chip Hall sensor that provides an output signal proportional to the horizontally applied magnetic flux density and is therefore suitable for current measurement. It is ideal for use as an open-loop current sensor for PCB or bus mounting. It has a small application design and simple construction for a wide range of currents from a few amps to 1000 amps.

The transfer characteristics of the MLX91208 are programmable in terms of offset, gain or temperature compensation. Linear analog outputs are designed for applications that require fast response, such as inverter applications.
