Overview:

The CY8C4147AXI-S465 PSoC™4100S Plus is a combination microcontroller with standard communication and timing peripherals, best-in-class capacitive touch sensing system (CapSense™), programmable universal continuous time and switched capacitor analog modules, and programmable connectivity.


The PSoC 4100S Plus Arm® Cortex-M0 + MCU includes an embedded system controller with integrated custom digital peripherals, memory, and Arm® Cortex-M0 + MCU for flexible automatic wiring. Programmable digital peripherals enable greater flexibility and field debugging of applications. Other features include a capacitive touch sensing system (CapSense), programmable universal continuous time, a switching capacitor analog module, and programmable connections. With its integrated design, the PSoC 4100S Plus device provides a complete system solution for a variety of embedded applications.


The PSoC 4100S Plus was developed using the PSoC® 4 platform architecture and can be extended and reconfigured. The PSoC 4100S Plus is compatible with the components of the PSoC 4 platform to support new applications and design requirements.

• 32-bit MCU subsystem

- 48MHz Arm Cortex-M0+ MCU

- Up to 128KB of flash memory with read accelerator

- Up to 16KB SRAM

- 8-channel DMA engine

• Programmable simulation

- 2 operational amps with reconfigurable high drive external and high broadband internal drivers, comparator mode and ADC input buffering capability. Operational amplifiers can operate in deep sleep low power mode.

- 12-bit 1Msps SAR analog-to-digital converter with differential and single-ended modes, and channel sequence generator with signal averaging

- Capacitive sensing module provides single-slope 10-bit ADC function

- 2 current digital-to-analog converters (IDacs) for general purpose or capacitive sensing applications on any pin

- 2 low power comparators that work in deep sleep low power mode

• Programmable numbers

- Programmable logic block that allows Boolean operations to be performed on port inputs and outputs

• 1.71-5.5V low power operation

- Deep sleep mode with operational analog and 2.5μA digital system current

• Capacitive sensing

Capacitive Delta-σ (CSD) has the best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) (>5:1) and water resistance

- Software components supplied by Cypress make capacitor detection design easier

- Automatic hardware tuning (SmartSense™)

• LCD driver capability

- LCD segment drive capability on GPIO

• Serial communication

- Five independent run-time reconfigurable Serial communication blocks (SCBS) with reconfigurable I2C, SPI or UART capabilities

• Timing and pulse width modulation

- 8 16-bit timer/counter/Pulse width modulator (TCPWM) modules

- Center alignment, edges, and pseudo-random modes

- Comparator based trigger of Kill signal for motor drive and other high reliability digital logic applications

- Orthogonal decoder

• Clock source

- 4MHz to 33MHz External Crystal Oscillator (ECO)

- PLL can generate 48MHz frequency

- 32kHz Watch Crystal Oscillator (WCO)

- ±2% Internal Master Oscillator (IMO)

-32kHz Internal Low Power Oscillator (ILO)

• True Random Number Generator (TRNG)

TRNG generates truly random numbers for secure key generation for cryptographic applications

• CAN block

- CAN 2.0B block, supporting time triggered CAN (TTCAN)

• Up to 54 programmable GPIO pins

- 44 pin TQFP (0.8mm pitch) and 64 pin TQFP regular pitch (0.8mm) and small pitch (0.5mm) packages

- Any GPIO pin can be a CapSense, analog or digital pin

- Drive modes, advantages and conversion rates are programmable

• PSoC Creator design environment

Integrated Development environment (IDE) provides schematic design input and build (with analog and digital automatic routing)

- Application Programming Interface (API) components for all fixed functions and programmable peripherals

• Industry standard tool compatibility

- After entering the schematic, it can be developed using industry standard ARM-based development tools
