The LTC4291IUF-1 is a 4-port Power supply device (PSE) controller designed for Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems, suitable for IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4 standard scenarios requiring high power supply . The LTC4291IUF-1 is designed to power PD to 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt standards. By utilizing a low RDS(ON) external MOSFETs and a 0.15Ω detection resistor per power channel, the LTC4291IUF-1 achieves the lowest heat dissipation in the industry. The transformer-isolated communication protocol replaces expensive photocouplers and complex isolated 3.3V power supplies, resulting in significant savings in BOM costs.
Advanced power management features include 14-bit current monitoring per port, programmable current limiting, and universal fast shutdown for pre-selected ports. PD detection uses a proprietary multipoint detection mechanism, which provides excellent immunity to PD misidentification. Supports autoclass and 5 event physical classification.
