TPS2HB50BQPWPRQ1 Description:

The TPS2HB50-Q1 dual-channel smart high-side switch is designed for use in 12V automotive systems. The device features reliable protection and diagnostics to ensure that the output ports are protected in the event of a harmful event, such as a short circuit within the automotive system. The device prevents malfunctions through reliable current limiting, which is adjustable from 2A to 18A, depending on the device model. A large current limit range supports use in loads that require large transient currents, while a small current limit range provides better protection for loads that do not require high peak currents. The device can reliably drive a wide range of load profiles.

The TPS2HB50-Q1 also provides high-precision analogue current sensing for improved load diagnostics. By reporting load current and device temperature to the system MCU, the device enables predictive maintenance and load diagnostics, thereby extending the life of the system. the TPS2HB50A-Q1 has a current limit range of 2A to 10A, and the TPS2HB50B-Q1 has a current limit range of 3.6A to 18A. the TPS2HB50-Q1 is available in a HTSSOP package, which reduces the PCB footprint.
