Device Description

The LMK03318RHSR Ultra-Low Noise PLLatinum™ Clock Generators are clock generators with a fractional-N crossover frequency synthesiser with integrated VCO. They have flexible clock distribution/fan-out and on-chip EEPROM storage with pin-selectable configuration states. The devices can generate multiple clocks for different gigabit serial interfaces and digital devices. Multiple clock generators reduce BOM cost and board area, and improve reliability by replacing multiple oscillators and clock distribution devices. Ultra-low jitter reduces the bit error rate (BER) of high-speed serial links. Typical applications include switches and routers, network and telecom line cards, servers and storage systems, and wireless base stations.
