Overview:

HV53011 16-channel push-pull drivers provide high voltage driver solutions for surface tactile applications. The HV53011 has 16 push-pull drivers with an output swing of ±135V with return to Zero (RTZ) capability, each with a pull and fill current of at least 24mA. Each high voltage output is capable of driving capacitive loads up to 250pF. In addition, the HV53011 integrates a global current sensor function to monitor charge and discharge currents.


The HV53011 16-channel push-pull driver utilizes the SPI interface to communicate between the microcontroller/processor and the high voltage driver. The interface provides 3.3V logical I/O signals with clock speeds up to 32MHz. Five digital LATCH control signals manage the data flow and ignition mode while setting the output to one of four possible states: VPP, VNN, 0V, or high impedance.


The device has a precise power-on and power-off sequence, requiring four high-voltage power rails (VPP, VPF, VNN, VNF) and three low-voltage power rails (VCC, VSS, and VLL). The accompanying integrated HV53001 driver IC has a built-in power on/off sequence control circuit to keep the sequence correct.

The driver has an off function that can be disabled and set to consume minimum power when the driver is not in use.
