Overview:

The MCP4822 is a dual-channel 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a built-in voltage reference source. The device features high precision and low power consumption and is available in a variety of packages. Communication with the device is achieved through a simple serial interface using the SPI protocol. The device is part of the MCP4802/MCP4812/MCP4822 product family, which is a dual-channel 8-bit / 10-bit / 12-bit Dacs with an internal voltage reference source (VREF).


With extremely high accuracy and low noise performance, these devices are suitable for consumer electronics and industrial applications, such as set point control, offset adjustment and sensor calibration applications. The low power consumption and small package options make these devices extremely attractive for many portable and battery-powered applications. If you need an output, you can use the MCP4801/4811/4821 single-channel product family.
