Under the influence of factors such as high inflation and the cooling down of the housing economy, the market demand for TV, Notebook and Monitor is facing shrinking; among them, TV brand manufacturers cut orders, TV panel prices fell to historical lows, and medium and large-sized panel DDIC prices were under pressure. The price of DDIC fell by about 2% in the second quarter, but the decline will be lower than that of smartphone applications.

In the consumer market, the relationship between supply and demand in the consumer market has changed, and the inventory level of standard products remains high. According to CINNO Research data, the average inventory turnover days of domestic consumer IC design companies in the first quarter increased to 201 days. IC design manufacturers Faced with the pressure to cut orders, DDIC has been negatively affected, and the peak season in the third quarter may not be prosperous.

"In 2022, global driver chip orders may decline as a whole. In the second half of the year, DDIC prices will face greater pressure to cut prices. In the third quarter, DDIC prices for various applications are expected to drop by 4-15% month-on-month." CINNO Research said.
