Overview:
The TCAN1462V-Q1 is a High Speed Controller Local Area network (CAN) transceiver that meets the physical layer requirements of the ISO 11898-2:2016 High Speed CAN specification and the CiA 601-4 Signal Improvement Function (SIC) specification. These devices reduce dominant to invisible edge ringing and enable higher throughput in complex network topologies. With the signal improvement feature, many applications are able to operate at 2Mbps, 5Mbps or more in large networks with multiple endless piles, taking advantage of the true benefits of CAN FD (Flexible data Rate).
The device meets the timing specification required by CiA 601-4, and therefore has more stringent bit timing symmetry than ordinary CAN FD transceivers. This provides a larger timing window to sample the correct bits and enables error-free communication in large complex star networks with inherent ringing and bit distortion.

- Defines the behavior of the device in the case of floating logic pins and power undervoltage
• Protection features
- IEC ESD protection is provided on bus pins
- ±58V CAN bus fault tolerance
- VCC and VIO (V models only) power terminals feature undervoltage protection
- TXD Explicit Status Timeout (TXD DTO)
- Thermal Shutdown Protection (TSD)
Available in SOIC (8), small SOT-23 (8) and leadless 3mm x3mm VSON (8) packages with wetted flanks and improved automatic Optical inspection (AOI) capabilities
