Description

The Texas Instruments LM5175RHFR four-switch synchronous buck-boost controller is capable of regulating output voltages equal to, above, or below the input voltage.The LM5175 has a wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 42V to support a wide variety of applications.

The LM5175RHFR uses current mode control in both buck and boost modes of operation to provide excellent load and line regulation. The switching frequency is programmable through an external resistor and can be synchronised with an external clock signal. The device also features programmable soft-start and offers various protection features such as cycle-by-cycle current limit, input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), output overvoltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown. The device also features selectable continuous conduction mode (CCM) or discontinuous conduction mode (DCM).
