Introduction

The RAA489118A3GNP is a booster charger that supports 30V input and 30V battery. It provides charging and protection for power tools, portable vacuum cleaners, electric lawn mowers and mobile power supplies, as well as additional system power rail adjustment for laptops. It is compatible with any USB-C interface platform, including USB-Powered (USB PD) Extended Power Range (EPR). Advanced Renesas R3™ technology ensures efficient light-load operation and fast transient response.

In charging mode, the RAA489118 accepts input power from a variety of DC power sources, such as traditional AC/DC charger adapters, USB PD ports and travel adapters, to safely charge battery packs with up to seven batteries in series at voltages up to 30V. The device can be connected to a battery alone, an adapter, or both. It supports reverse buck, reverse boost, or reverse lift operations on the input ports of 2 to 7 batteries.

The RAA489118A3GNP offers resistance setting options, including autonomous charging, maximum output voltage, and adapter current limits. In addition, it provides a serial communication interface to set many key parameters, enabling customized solutions.
