Introduction
The 8T49N241-994NLGI device has a fractional feedback PLL that can be used as a jitter attenuator and frequency converter. It is equipped with an integer and three decimal output divider, allowing up to 4 different output frequencies to be produced, ranging from 8kHz to 1GHz. These frequencies are completely independent of each other, input reference frequency and crystal reference frequency. The device has virtually no restrictions on input-to-output frequency conversion and supports all FEC rates, including the new revision of ITU-T Recommendation G.709 (2009), where most conversion errors are 0ppm. Outputs can be selected between LVPECL, LVDS, HCSL or LVCMOS output levels.

For example, the 8T49N241 can be used in GbE/10GbE/100GbE synchronous Ethernet card applications to maintain consistency between G.8262 and synchronous device timing sources (SETS) on the timing card.
