Product Overview:

TPS62816-Q1 6A Buck converters are a series of pin-to-pin efficient, easy-to-use synchronous buck DC/DC converters. It is based on the peak current mode control topology. It is designed for use in automotive applications such as entertainment information and advanced driver assistance systems. Low resistance switches support continuous output currents up to 6A. The switching frequency can be adjusted externally in the range of 1.8MHz to 4MHz, and can also be synchronized to an external clock in this frequency range. 

In PWM/PFM mode, the TPS62816-Q1 automatically enters power saving mode under light load conditions, thus maintaining high efficiency over the entire load range.The TPS62816-Q1 provides 1% output voltage accuracy in PWM mode, which helps to achieve power supply designs with high output voltage accuracy. The SS/TR pin sets the start time or tracks the output voltage provided to an external source. This feature enables the external ordering of different power rails and limits the surge current during startup.

The TPS62816-Q1 is available in an adjustable version in a 3mm × 2mm VQFN package with wettable flanking.
