Device Overview

The F280025PTSR is one device in a family of C2000™ real-time microcontrollers, a family of scalable, ultra-low latency devices designed to improve the efficiency of power electronics including, but not limited to: high power densities, high switching frequencies, and support for the use of GaN and SiC technologies.

The real-time control subsystem is based on TI's 32-bit C28x DSP core, which delivers 100MHz of signal processing performance for floating-point or fixed-point code running from on-chip flash or SRAM. The C28x CPU is further enhanced by the Trigonometric Math Unit (TMU) and the VCRC (cyclic redundancy check) extended instruction set, which speeds up algorithms critical to real-time control systems.
