Device description:
The ADUC7124BCPZ126 is a fully integrated 1 MSPS, 12-bit data acquisition system that integrates a high-performance multi-channel ADC, 16-bit / 32-bit MCU, and Flash/EE memory in a single chip.
The ADC has up to 12 single-ended inputs. There are 2 additional inputs, but they are multiplexed with 2 DAC output pins. Adcs can operate in either single-ended or differential input mode. ADC input voltage range is 0 V to VREF. Low-drift bandgap reference voltage sources, temperature sensors, and voltage comparators complete the peripheral setup of the ADC.
The DAC output range can be programmed to one of three voltage ranges. The DAC output has an enhanced feature that saves its output voltage in a watchdog or software reset sequence.
The device generates an internal high frequency clock signal of 41.78MHz through an on-chip oscillator and phase-locked loop (PLL). This clock signal is relayed through a programmable clock divider, in which the MCU core clock operating frequency is generated. The core of the microcontroller is ARM7TDMI®, which is a 16-bit / 32-bit RISC machine with peak performance up to 41 MIPS. On chip, 32 KB of SRAM and 126 KB of non-volatile Flash/EE memory are integrated. The ARM7TDMI kernel treats all memory and registers as a linear array.
This device is powered by a 2.7V to 3.6V power supply and is rated in the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C. When the operating frequency is 41.78MHz, the typical power consumption is 120mW. The ADuC7124 comes in a 64-pin LFCSP package.
