Description:

The STM32L431CCT6 microcontroller is based on a new ultra-low power platform with FlexPowerControl. It increases the flexibility to achieve optimised power consumption. the STM32L4 outperforms its market counterparts in the area of ultra-low power consumption with an EEMBC ULPBench score of 150 ULPBench™-CP.


It offers up to 2Mbyte of Flash (dual banks) and up to 640Kbytes of SRAM, and can deliver 100DMIPS/273 CoreMark scores thanks to the 80MHz ST ART Accelerator™. The multi-AHB bus matrix and DMA controller optimise the overall system performance.


The STM32L431CCT6 microcontroller can be used to replace current designs using the STM32F4 for low-power functionality. It has pin-to-pin compatibility and can replace the STM32F4 without changing the board layout.


Key Features:

Core: Arm Cortex-M4 CPU with floating-point unit (FPU), support for all Arm single-precision data-processing instructions and data types, DSP instructions and memory protection unit (MPU) for enhanced application security.

Memory: 256 KB of Flash memory and 64 KB of SRAM with 16 KB of hardware parity.

Clock source: Supports 4 to 48 MHz crystal oscillator, 32 kHz crystal oscillator (for RTC), internal 16 MHz factory-calibrated RC oscillator (±1%), internal low-power 32 kHz RC oscillator (±5%), and more.

Power management: Supports a supply voltage range of 1.71 V to 3.6 V with multiple power saving modes such as 8 nA shutdown mode, 28 nA standby mode (with RTC), 1.0 μA stop 2 mode, etc.

Analogue peripherals: including a 12-bit ADC (5 Msps), two 12-bit DAC output channels, an operational amplifier with built-in PGA, and two ultra-low-power comparators.

Communication interfaces: 1 SAI (Serial Audio Interface), 3 I2C, 4 USART, 1 LPUART, 3 SPI, 1 CAN (2.0B Active) and SDMMC interface.
