The QorIQ® Layerscape LS1021A communications processor offers a variety of integrated and high-power features for fanless small enterprise networking applications. The LS1021A processor features a dual-core Arm® Cortex-A7 core operating at frequencies up to 1 GHz and is designed to achieve CoreMark® performance in excess of 7,000. In addition, the processor offers virtualization support, advanced security features, the broadest range of high-speed connectivity and optimized peripherals for processors with less than 3W power consumption.

The QorIQ LS1021A processor features an integrated LCD controller, a CAN controller for implementing industrial protocols, DDR3L/4 operating at up to 1600MHz, an integrated security Engine and QUICC Engine®, and ECC protection for L1 and L2 caches. The LS1021A processor is pin and software compatible with the QorIQ LS1020A and LS1022A processors.
