Qorvo has announced the launch of its new system-on-chip (SoC) solution for smart home devices, the QPG6200L, and has sent samples to key customers. This next-generation Internet of Things (IoT) solution uses Qorvo's unique ConcurrentConnect™ technology to combine the multi-network support of Matter™, Zigbee® and Bluetooth Low Energy ® with superior energy efficiency in a scalable turnkey solution.


The QPG6200L, Qorvo's first product based on its new low-power wireless connectivity platform, is designed to address the serious challenges posed by today's rapidly evolving smart home environment, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability across multiple wireless standards. The QPG6200L supports multiple protocols on different channels simultaneously, delivering the highest radio frequency (RF) performance and reliability for a wide range of consumer iot applications, including smart lighting, sensors, and smart home control centers. In addition, it has a built-in security module and PSA Level 2 certification to enhance the security of the iot.

Qorvo's QPG6200L sets a new paradigm in energy efficiency for multi-standard SOCs. The superior performance of less than 1 microampere (µA) has a resting current that is 30% lower than comparable solutions, making it ideal for low-power applications such as battery-powered sensors and energy harvesting devices. The ultra-low power consumption of the QPG6200L significantly extends battery life and enables more sustainable smart home solutions.


As the global smart home device market continues to expand, IDC predicts that the global sales of related products will reach 1.2 billion units by 2028; The QPG6200L is expected to play a key role in the next wave of connected devices. Qorvo provides smart home Oems with turnkey solutions based on Matter over Thread, simplifying the design process while ensuring strong security and robust performance across the network. PSA Level 2 certified QPG6200L solutions meet security standards and are resistant to common software attacks.
