Description:
The LTC7151SIV is a high-efficiency, single-chip synchronous step-down regulator capable of delivering 15A current to the load. The device adopts phase-lock-in controlled on-time constant frequency and current mode architecture. PolyPhase operation allows multiple LTC7151S regulators to operate out of phase, reducing the number of input and output capacitors required. The operating supply voltage ranges from 3.1V to 20V.
The operating frequency can be set by an external resistor in the range of 400kHz to 3MHz. The high frequency operation capability allows the use of inductors and capacitors of smaller physical dimensions. For applications that are sensitive to switching noise, the LTC7151S can externally synchronize from 400kHz to 3MHz. The PHMODE pin allows the user to control the phase of the output clock signal. The unique constant frequency/controlled on-time architecture is ideal for applications with high step-down ratios that operate at high frequencies while requiring fast transient responses. The LTC7151S uses the second generation Silent Switcher 2 technology with a built-in integrated bypass capacitor to provide a highly efficient solution with superior EMI performance at high frequencies.
