The ADAU1701JSTZ is a complete single-chip audio system that includes a 28/56-bit audio DSP, ADC, DAC, and microcontrollerlike control interface. Signal processing, including balancing, mixing, bass enhancement, multi-band dynamic processing, delay compensation, and stereo image expansion, compensates for the limitations of real-world speakers, amplifiers, and listening environments to dynamically improve perceived audio quality.
The ADAU1701's signal processing is comparable to that found in high-end stereo equipment. Most of the processing is done by the full 56-bit double precision mode, resulting in very good low-level signal performance. The ADAU1701 is a fully programmable digital signal processor. The easy-to-use SigmaStudio software allows users to graphically configure customized signal processing flows using biorder filters, dynamic processors, level controls, and GPIO interface controls.
The ADAU1701 program can be loaded from a serial EEPROM (via its self-booting mechanism) or powered on from an external microcontroller. During power-on, the current parameter state can be written from the ADAU1701 back to the EEPROM so that it can be invoked again the next time the program is run.

A 3.3V power supply is available with a built-in voltage regulator
