The AD835ARZ is a complete 4-quadrant voltage output analog multiplier fabricated on an advanced dielectrically isolated complementary bipolar process.

The AD835 is the first single-chip 250 MHz four-quadrant voltage output multiplier.

The AD835 is suitable for a variety of signal processing applications with minimal external components.

The high input impedance (100 kΩ||2 pF) makes the signal source load negligible.

Excellent low noise levels are achieved by carefully optimizing the device and using a special low noise bandgap reference voltage source.

Product Introduction:

The AD835ARZ is a complete four-quadrant voltage output analog multiplier manufactured using an advanced dielectric isolation complementary bipolar process. It produces a linear product of X and Y voltage inputs, with an output bandwidth of −3 dB of 250 MHz (small signal rise time of 1 ns). The full scale (−1 V to +1 V) rise to fall time is 2.5 ns (using 150 Ω standard RL), and the 0.1% build time is typically 20 ns.


The difference multiplication input (X, Y) and summation input (Z) are in a high resistance state. Low impedance output voltages (W) up to ±2.5 V drive loads as low as 25 Ω. Use ± 5V power supply in normal operation.


The AD835 not only offers superior speed performance, but is also easy to use and feature-rich. For example, in addition to allowing a signal to be added to the output, the Z input amplifiers the operating voltage of the AD835 up to about 10 times. As a result, the multiplier has a very low product noise (50 nV/√Hz), much better than earlier products.


The AD835ARZ is available in an 8-pin SOIC package (R) and is rated in the −40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range.
